Crowds flock to Party in the Park

Thousands of music lovers were entertained by Dizzee Rascal, Scouting for Girls and The Saturdays at the UK's biggest free outdoor pop party.

Scouting for Girls opened the show for about 70,000 revellers at Party in the Park, in Temple Newsam, Leeds, West Yorks., on Sunday.

Backstage Gavin and Stacey star Joanna Page was enjoying a few drinks with her Emmerdale actor husband James Thornton at the star-studded northern bash, organised by Leeds City Council.

The pretty Welsh actress said: "I'm filming White Van Man with Will Mellor in Manchester tomorrow so I hope I don't get too drunk or anything."

Jedward, sporting six-inch high quiffs and silver winged Adidas trainers, posed excitedly for pictures and said they were "really excited about performing" before being pelted with plastic bottles as they covered Blink 182's All the Small Things.

The Script, Pixie Lott, Tinchy Stryder, Alexandra Burke, Alesha Dixon, Professor Green, Example, Beverley Knight, The Baseballs, and The Hoosiers also played.
